Serving Others
The Northern Lights Movement for Kids promotes the notion that youth have much to offer and learn from serving members of their community and beyond, as well as, each other. Challenge a community to join you in doing something good for your community.
Participants of NLMFK have engaged in various acts of community service, including:
- Washing seats at local skating rink before the hockey season
- Sending handmade cards to local special care homes, the elderly and local hospital
- Sending Valentines to Jim Pattison’s Children’s Hospital
- Holding a bake sale and sending proceeds to communities in need
- Playground cleanups
